Exhibition Dates: January 14th – February 11th

Central City Hospitality House Community Arts Program (CAP) is proud to invite you to The 8 x 10 Show, a multi-media group exhibition illustrating artists’ adaptability into one of society’s standardized customary construct, the 8 x 10 format.  This special exhibition also marks CAP’s grand opening at its temporary location downstairs from the luggage store gallery at 1009 Market Street (at Sixth Street).

For this show, the readily-available 8 x 10 stock frame with the generic image gets a revamp, according to Ivan Vera, CAP Program Manager.  “This exhibition demonstrates that by sharing the same definite restrictions as one another, the varied and diverse stylistic offerings of the Community Arts Program speak the loudest.”

The CAP’s Creative Writing Group, led by Jim LeCuyer, will also culminate their Fall session with the publication of the Fall Anthology and an Open Mic at the reception.

The 8 x 10 Show features works by Mike Kershnar, Sean Desmond, Steven Harris, Joshua Vasquez, Robert Miklos, Mini Sage, James Scoville, Txutxo Perez, Meredith Connor, James Word, Javy, Iris Brightwater, Ivan Vera, Kai Figueroa, Sarah Schneider, Rodney Jones, Marsha Campbell, Harvey Rushing, Gloria Fortier, Patricia Rose, Ptah, RBP, Jason Martinez, Christopher Horton, Aloysha, Paisley Strange, Anis Mohammad, Terrence Porter, Max Brando, Dorian Mathay, Garland Hall, Jack Luo, Lock Mei Aheng, Francisco Zarate, Matt Durning, Niki Savage, Francisco Argudo, Joshua Vasquez, Jim Housley, John Rhodes, Sita, Steven Harris, Jeff Roysdon and Socorro Hernandez; and runs from January 14th – February 11th.

This event is free and open to the public.  For more information, contact Ivan Vera at 415-553-4525 ext. 304 or
