Curated by Eliza Barrios, Overdose is a series of projections of or relating to Spain & Latin America. Overdose draws from the parallel of these two countries interweaving three different perspectives from artists residing in Spain or Los Angeles. In El Reporte Femenil (The Female Report), Carolyn Castaño and Gary Daughin examine how the media interprets the effects of the narco trade on women in true Univision style. La Casa Pasjera by Arnulfo Carreño, takes us on a journey through the thick forests of Columbia overlaying a roadhouse through the roads to Medellin, reminding us that the reference point transcends different terrains. In Untitled (Dogs-hole), Alvaro Perdices collaborates with SERVICAN, bringing awareness of medical research of abandoned animals in Spain. Untitled (Dogs-hole) was part of a larger exhibition commissioned by Espai de Art Contmeporani.
