Lunchtime Tour: Part and Parcel [1]
Join Bay Area artist, educator, and curator Taraneh Hemami for a tour of Part & Parcel [2]on view at the SFAC Main Gallery through March 30, 2019. This spring marks 40 years since the Iranian Revolution. Resulting in millions of lives being displaced and dislocated, the revolution initiated a shift in the politics of the region that deepened a complicated and precarious rift between conflicting ideologies. The artists in the exhibition, all of Iranian descent, examine what it means to belong at this moment in the diaspora's history.
