Annex on Limitation
The San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) Galleries is pleased to present Annex on Limitation, a two-person exhibition curated by San Francisco-based curator and artist Jane Sheehan featured in the entryway of the Main Gallery.
Identity carries history, rooted impressions. Born from self, family, and peers, these artists held certain dismissals for years before the creation of these works. To build from limitations is to enter a nuanced realm where challenge joins celebration. This exhibition holds space for opposition and acceptance. At times the two dance together in the reconstruction beyond limitations.
