Past Exhibitions

This exclusive multi-media exhibition features iconic photography, rock and roll poster art, and live music memorabilia presented in partnership with Wolfgang's Vault, the world's largest collection of live concert recordings and music memorabilia, including the vast archive of Bay Area music promoter Bill Graham. The San Francisco Bay Area has long been a hotbed for social activism and inventive musical performances and the materials included in this exhibition reveal the stories that have both contributed to and documented significant social changes of the past five decades. Visitors can also listen to interviews and personal accounts recorded exclusively for this exhibition from the represented musicians, photographers and graphic artists.

The LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired and the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery are proud to present the 19th annual Insights 2008 juried art exhibition, with works from 45 artists who are blind or visually impaired. This year’s show is the largest to date, featuring over 100 works of photography, painting, touchable sculpture, mixed media and more. The show emphasizes the diverse range of artistic expression and invites sighted, blind and visually impaired viewers alike to experience the artwork. This presentation includes braille signage as well as full audio descriptions of the work including artist interviews.
