As an arts-for-peace educational organization, CPP works with children ages 8-18 to foster connection and promote peace through numerous arts based project. We believe that making art is one of the greatest tools for expressing beliefs and emotions, and an extremely effective medium for building bridges between people that ultimately helps foster peaceful coexistence. Program Description

Dance Brigade's Youth Program's goals are to provide high-quality dance classes to the children of San Francisco in a non-competitive, socially conscious environment. Our students are encouraged to become technically proficient, live healthy, active lives, and also build self-esteem, cooperation and leadership skills by participating in our dance programs. We provide wonderful performance opportunities at the end of each semester and all children are encouraged to perform.

Program Description

Flyaway offers GIRLFLY, a summer program for low-income teen girls, and KIDFLY, offered in schools and afterschool programs. KIDFLY offers low income, culturally diverse youth new awareness of the physical body, and mentorship in advocacy projects focused on social justice awareness. GIRFLY combines dance and activism, focusing on issues affecting young women. Flyaway works with community partners QUESADA Gardens and College Track in the Bayview neighborhood, and CounterPULSE in the Tenderloin.

SHARON ART STUDIO operates under the auspices of San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department in cooperation with Friends of Sharon Art Studio (FOSAS). FOSAS is devoted to sustaining and enhancing the Sharon Art Studio’s (SAS) goal to promote artistic development, craftsmanship, and creative expression. FOSAS believes that art education is an essential component of a healthy community and strives to ensure that quality, noncompetitive art programs are affordable and accessible to all.
