Van Ness Bus Rapid Transit
In conjunction with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s new Van Ness Bus Rapid Transit (VN-BRT) system stretching down Van Ness Avenue from Bay to Mission streets, the Arts Commission is managing the implementation of a landmark public artwork by artist Jorge Pardo.
San Francisco International Airport
We have so many goodies about to debut at SFO. With each new construction project, the SFAC gets to work with an incredible group of diverse artists to enhance the visitor experience. There is a reason why SFO is one of the best airports in the world.
Central Subway
In conjunction with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s new Central Subway stretching from Chinatown to South of Market, the Arts Commission is managing the implementation of a diverse and exciting public art program.

49 South Van Ness Video Art Program
Eleven artists were commissioned to create site-specific videos for 49 South Van Ness. The works in the program represent a broad range of thought, ideas, and a diversity of video artmaking processes that reflect the work performed at this building, notions about labor both seen and invisible, and San Franciso’s unique history, culture, and people. Artists include: Zeina Barakeh, Lindsay Rothwell, David Bayus, Selina Trepp, Miguel Arzabe, Susana Barrón, Kota Ezawa (Co-Directed by Julian Brave NoiseCat), Patrick Sean Gibson, Jeremy Rourke, Aron Kantor, and Chitra Ganesh.
